Singapore – May 16, 2024 – Bakuun Holdings today announced the appointment of Nigel Horne as their new Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), based in London, effective immediately. Horne, a highly accomplished travel industry leader, brings over two decades of experience in leadership at global digital travel companies, strategic growth initiatives, and technology-driven transformation. Marco Bacchilega, founder of Bakuun, will transition to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO), continuing to lead the critical product and technology functions.

With his deep understanding of digital travel, proven ability to execute transformational growth strategies, and a strong focus on collaboration, Bakuun Holdings is confident Nigel will propel the company forward. His background aligns perfectly with the company's commitment to innovation and market leadership.

Nigel’s successful track record includes senior leadership roles at WebBeds, Sunhotels Group, and GTA. Most recently, as CEO of WebBeds' Europe region, he oversaw the significant growth of the business portfolio to over EUR 650m in revenue, and led a team of over 500 across Europe and the Americas while ensuring the successful integration of key acquisitions.
